  Welcome
...to the website that tells you about NHS in Wiltshire.

Postal disruption:

What to do if you are expecting an outpatient appointment.
In the event of a national strike, postal services on strike days will be very limited and as a consequence, some delay with the post will be inevitable.  Services will make every effort to keep the appointment system running smoothly during this time.  If you receive an appointment letter during the strike please phone the service to confirm.  If we do not hear from you we will contact you by phone 10 days before your scheduled appointment.

Our plans and priorities for the next five years:

Boy running

Over the last 18 months, NHS Wiltshire has held a programme of Stakeholder Assemblies, designed to allow local people – through voluntary organisations, elected representatives and patient groups – to tell us what they thought should be our top priorities for the future.

The top three were:

·         More focus on prevention of illness and promoting health

·         Cleaner hospitals

·         Improved emergency services (including Accident and Emergency, urgent care and ambulances)

Our plans for the next five years have been built on these local priorities, the national priorities identified by the government and the other feedback from the Stakeholder Assembly. Our Strategic Framework for 2009-2014 sets out our plans, how we will deliver them and how they will improve health and health services for the people of Wiltshire.
