bone usually present as swellings.
All cases benefit from
early diagnosis
Malignant tumours often present initially as painless ulcers, most
commonly on or around the tongue. They sometimes present as
ulceration within a pre-existing white or thickened patch in the mouth
which does not wipe off and differ from other ulcers by persisting for
more than two weeks.

Cancer
Stop Smoking
Do not chew tobacco products
Reduce alcohol intake to safe levels
Avoid excessive exposure to the sun and use sun block on lips
Eat fresh fruit and vegetables
Examine your own mouth regularly so you will notice any lumps bump or
patches quickly
Seek advice from a dentist if any suspicious areas appear
Have a dental check up at least annually
